Sophizz: Thank you. It is the murder of innocents and the very ineptitude of the governments involved that I find most grating.

A good attempt GG. I would like to read it again once the numbness has gone. To cause pain to others and to be connected to them through the grief that one has caused them. What a horrible thing this is. I often wonder how those who subscribe to violence face themselves...

Than you Raju. Yes it is very difficult to assimilate. But, action is required from those with the responsibility to do so.

Sunkan: It is  very near the twelve O Clock hour and the days of reckoning. These monstors are only going to get more bold in the face of inertia. Bullies do that.

Good one, Giridhar.  But, my heart goes out to the victims and their respective families.  I will have to wait for a few days before I read this again to appreciate the depth of your words which have come out in a poetic form.

i think each indian knows these, and still they are not awakening, i am sure the poverty or greed should be leading here to do things they want to put in the mind as fear, so until the awareness start from the politician about what motherland is all about the citizen will never wake up, may be we need another gandhi to come out with strong conviction to awaken the slumbering indians..sunkan

Melody: Thank you. I  have been a believer in secularism and a strictly neutral state. But what India is doing is to cater to the worst  religious bigotry of the people, be it Hindu in Gujarat or Muslim in the centre. A truly neutral state will put down any extremism and dimunution of rights of both the majority and the minorities

Girdhar
Your anguish is so evident in your poem.
It's so sad to see innocent lives fall prey to terrorism again and again. Instead of demonstrating a steely resolve to wipe out terrorism, we have time and again proved to be a soft state and an easy target. The ideology of hate needs to be weeded out and only a government that has the interests of the people at heart can do that. The current govt has fallen to abysmal depths in all aspects -governance, national security and law and order . Hope the people wake up and exercise their vote with discretion in the next general election.

Regards
