Hi Girdhar,
Lovely poem...especially the lines -
Love is self denying, while possesive love is oxymoronic
Love is the alpha and the omega of passion, that is mythic
Love thinks of the other and seeks to protect
Love is both for the giving and the taking
Love looks to the other and never forgets
Love has no demands, no expectations, no regrets...
Wonderful!!!

Hi Girdhar,

A brave and successful attempt at depicting in a poem the universality of love in all its forms and colours.
I liked  particularly:
Love is the condition that both crushes and exults you

Love is the alpha and the omega of passion, that is mythic

Avinash: Welcome back ! I am now going through a kind of hiatus the calm before the storm or could be the calm before the calm ! Love is an emotion that one feels but cannot describe, except through actions which I have tried to do. When it is described, it is often on the form of passion, which love is not. As love has passion, great deal of passion, but passion is not the sine qua non of love, self sacrifice is.
Thank you for your recommendatuin.

Love is indeed all that. Although we biochemists call it a play on chemicals in the brain, I believe it is just much more than that. It has to be because - if it were a matter of chemicals only - any good form of flesh would have aroused the same feelings in us. But I went firing all guns for a rather thin human specimen when far fuller candidates were there for the taking. What I found in the thin one and continue to find when the thinness has been fleshed out perfectly today I know - I found peace and excitement together, I found the thrill of newness and coziness of the old all at once, I found joy of beauty and comfort of the routine in that one single person. I found all contrasts assembled in that one person who is today my friend and wife. I think love is undefined and should best be left that way.
Regards
Avinash
